Hi there,

I’m Zsanett.

I know my name looks unfamiliar, but it’s just the French name “Jeanette” spelt in a Hungarian way, pronounced the same. There are so many countries and languages out there; I don’t expect anyone to be able to say my name correctly.

I’m a Photographer.

When I was a small child my parents ended up buying me a camera. Now, it’s not because I needed or wanted one. I was perfectly content using their camera to take photos of pretty flowers around our garden. Now imagine if your kids were running around, day after day, with a device that’s really not a toy, and it’s only a matter of time before they accidentally break it. My parents were understandably nervous about these odds, but they didn’t want to restrict me from pursuing one of my interests. Therefore, supportive as they are, they gifted me a small, cheap, seemingly indestructible camera I could play with as much as my heart desired.

From that moment on I took photos of everything around me. There wasn’t a single bug on the wall that I didn’t document thoroughly. After all, that bug won’t be there the next day. I loved taking photos of my family as well, around our home or on a holiday, because I wanted to be able to remember those moments. I haven’t stopped taking photos since. I love that I can freeze a moment in an image and remember it forever.

I’m based in Aberdeen, UK.

I moved to Aberdeen about a decade ago, at the age of 19, fresh out of high school, fresh out of Hungary, to study at the University of Aberdeen. I didn’t think I would stay here this long, but I met my partner, who moved to Aberdeen as well a few years ago to start his studies, and we’ve settled down in Aberdeen for now.
